Discover what makes Hamilton County shine in 2025 Guide
Hot off the press and packed with hometown pride, the 2025 edition of the Hamilton County Guide is here, and we’re proud to share it with you.
Titled simply “Discover Hamilton County,” this 92-page, full-color magazine is more than just a brochure. It’s a vibrant snapshot of a community that’s quietly exceptional — a place where quality of life, shared values and forward momentum all intersect. Whether you’re a first-time visitor, a returning alum or a lifelong resident, this magazine offers a meaningful window into what makes Hamilton County not just a destination, but a place to call home.
Produced by the Aurora News-Register staff in partnership with the Aurora Chamber of Commerce, this updated guide is a true community effort, one that’s enriched by a grant from the Hamilton County Visitors Committee to help support printing and free distribution. You’ll find it at the ANR office, local businesses and online at auroranewsregister.com, where it’s just a click away for anyone curious about what we have to offer. It’s a perfect “Reader’s Digest” type overview for visitors and out-of-town guests.
And there’s plenty to discover.
From strong schools and modern health care to family-friendly parks, quality employers and an agricultural legacy rooted in some of the best soil in the country, Hamilton County continues to thrive. It’s a place where growth is steady, community spirit is strong and every two years — when we update this magazine — we’re reminded how much progress we pack into a relatively short time.
This year’s edition comes in a user-friendly size, perfect for slipping into a purse or glove box. For the tech-savvy reader, the cover includes a QR code offering instant access on your phone or tablet — a small feature with big convenience.
Inside, you’ll find colorful photography and informative stories highlighting local attractions like the Edgerton Explorit Center and Plainsman Museum, along with features on history, education, health care and signature events that define life here.
We hope this guide prompts a smile of recognition for those who live here, and perhaps a spark of interest from those who don’t. Because sometimes, all it takes is a single visit, a reunion or even a random roadside stop to recognize what locals already know: Hamilton County is a great place to live, work and raise a family.
We invite you to discover — or rediscover — all the reasons why.
