Charlie Kirk was trying to bring faith back into political realm
Dear Editor:
What a tragic week, losing Charlie Kirk, a leader desperately needed! Charlie was a man that brought the Christian faith back into the political realm, from which it should never have strayed.
Our founding fathers were men of faith rightly bringing God into every part of our government because God ordained government. God intended to be a part of government just as He did the family and the church. That is why we need the church to be intricately involved with all aspects of government just as He wants to be intricately involved with the church and family. It seems so odd that the church would ignore something God established, ordained to be a part of our lives.
We must seek out the heart of God in all three areas.
Have you noticed God uses the number 3 quite often? What about our earth? We have land, water and air. God Himself is described as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Our government was established from the verse Isaiah 33:22 (For the Lord is our Judge, the Lord is our Lawgiver, the Lord is our King; He will save us.) This is why our founding fathers divided our government into 3 branches.
“The number 3 is considered significant in the Bible as it often symbolizes divine wholeness, completeness, and perfection. It emphasizes that a matter or person has been fully represented, or that an event has reached its divine completion.” (provided by AI) As Eric Metaxas and many other godly leaders have stated, if your church is not actively involved standing for righteousness in the political/government realm, you need to get out of that church! We need God to be deeply involved in all 3 areas to have a healthy society.
Currently, a class called “Constitution Alive!” is being held at the Aurora Library on Thursday evenings, 7 p.m. With the tragedy this week of losing Charlie Kirk, who stood valiantly for our country the way the founders intended it to be, I would encourage everyone to attend. Also, with our upcoming 250 year celebration, it would be most appropriate to become acquainted with our founding fathers, hearing what they actually said to each other!!
This week has left us with many unanswered questions of which, one is, “Why did Turning Point USA not make it in Nebraska?” Why? Can anyone tell me? Let’s grapple with that one!!
