Pursley receives honors through Hastings College music program

In celebration of the outstanding student work throughout the year, the Hastings College Department of Music and Theatre recognized several students this week.

Hastings College Music recognized 21 students as part of it’s annual Music Honors Convocation.

Locally, this list included Carter Pursley of Aurora, a first-year student who placed third at NATS in First Year Classical-Men.

UNO releases Spring 2020 Chancellors List

Roughly 5,600 students are being recognized for their academic achievements during the Spring 2020 semester at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) with inclusion on the Chancellor’s and/or Dean’s List.

The nearly 1,400 students who qualified for the Chancellor’s List earned a grade point average of 4.0 for courses taken at UNO during the Spring 2020 semester, provided 12 or more quality hours were completed.

Locally, these students include: Lexie Faber of Aurora, Paige Faber of Aurora, Leta Lohrmeyer of Aurora, Nolan Meyer of Aurora, Nicholas Miller of Aurora and Kyla Stauffer of Phillips.

Local names earn Spring 2020 Dean’s List honor

Local and area students from Nebraska are among the 1,802 named by deans at Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kan., to the Deans Honor Roll for the spring 2020 semester.

This list includes Nathan Edwin Dozier of Aurora, who is majoring in music composition.

The Deans Honor Roll includes undergraduate students only. To be eligible, students must have completed 12 or more credit hours and earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.60 for the semester. Fulltime on-campus and FHSU Virtual College students are eligible.
