For many students FFA isn’t just an extracurricular activity, it’s a life-long passion. High Plain’s chapter president and senior Brook Bannister embodies that thought by stepping into the leadership role for a group she has been with since middle school.
Her journey with the organization began with her siblings who were all members, combined with growing up on her family’s beef cattle operation in Marquette.
“I’ve grown up with agriculture,” she said. “If I don’t go into ag I’ll definitely come back to the rural community and keep expanding my herd.”
