People vote on what affects them

Dear Editor:
I read with great enjoyment the letter that Leon Cinderland submitted regarding his opinion of Charles Herbster and his endorsement of Trump versus his stated acceptance of Jesus Christ in his life.
Leon is the first person I have seen that publicly rejected a candidate based on their ethical choices. How can one be a Christian yet also endorse Trumpism?
I have no answer to that question, but then people vote based on what affects them, NOT what offends them. Until that mindset changes amongst the greater populous, people with questionable ethics will always walk the hallways of Congress.
