What resources are available for quality local healthcare?
Hamilton County residents want and deserve to know the answer to that simple question, especially coming out of a COVID era during which so much has changed across the healthcare landscape.
Healthcare is one of the spokes in the wheel for any Nebraska community, a factor that can ultimately decide if a family wants to stay in or move to a town. Aurora has made it a priority issue over the years with community leaders working specifically to recruit healthcare providers to town, which is reflected in the scope and breadth of services available here.
Having said that, things have certainly changed in the last year or two, with many new businesses, new services and new faces representing healthcare on the local level. It’s for that precise reason that the News-Register took on a project outside its typical news gathering function to coordinate and publish a Hamilton County Healthcare Directory.
This comprehensive guide of medical professionals lists names, background information, training/experience and contact details for a wide variety of providers in and around Hamilton County. That’s the focus, by design, thus we did not contact providers unless they are located here and/or have a partnership with a local healthcare-based entity. The directory covers allergies and audiology to urology and everything in between, creating a 28-page document.
This is the fourth time the ANR staff has partnered with Memorial Community Health Inc. to produce this magazine-style publication. We’ve had positive feedback in the past and are excited to begin distributing the new, updated 2022 directory.
Copies were inserted locally in this week’s edition and will be available at local healthcare locations. It will also be distributed by the Aurora Chamber of Commerce through welcome packets to newcomers, giving new residents timely information when they likely don’t yet know what’s available here. A digital version is posted to the ANR website as well at auroranewsregister.com.
We invite you to use this resource when considering your healthcare needs.
