Nebraska is known for its many staples of the agricultural industry -- from corn and ethanol to soybeans and cattle. A research group with the Nebraska Extension looked at how expanding the dairy cattle industry could have an impact on the state’s economy.
The study looked at the potential impact of developing new clusters of dairies in conjunction with different sizes of fluid milk, butter, cheese or yogurt plants hypothetically located in Grand Island, Norfolk or Sioux City.
