Speaking to farmers, ranchers and others during the Aurora Cooperative’s annual meeting was  David Kohl, an ag economist who has published more than 2,500 articles in his career.
He began by voicing that they were going to talk about managing through a black swan cycle -- an unpredictable event that is beyond what is normally expected of a situation and has potentially severe consequences.
“We’re going to look at the United States from the big picture standpoint,” he stated. “I would like to talk about the importance of a management mindset that will help you not only in 2021 but through the rest of the decade.”
