See you in the stands

I’ve been pretty fortunate over the years to have had a reserved front row seat to some really exciting high school and college sporting events, camera in hand.

What’s your name?

It’s time we put a bow around this year’s college football recruiting season, so here are some of the recent recruits who signed on the dotted line for 2022 making my All-Name team: I’ll start off with Jeffry M’ba of Auburn. Interesting last name to say the least.

A love-hate relationship

In my lifetime, I’ve definitely had a love-hate relationship with the University of Texas. I just love to hate ‘em. Can’t stand the burnt orange. No apologies.

Dave’s new year goals for 2022

New Year’s resolutions for most people just come and go. Good intentions usually fall by the side of the road in favor of poor decisions. It’s only natural because we’re only human, right? For me, I usually try to stay clear of them. If I don’t make any then I cannot fail.

Naughty or nice?

Ho! Ho! Ho and pass the turkey! It’s that time once again when I get to do my thing, when I get to hand out all sorts of fun presents to all of the nice (and a few naughty) girls and boys who made my very special list this year.

Big Red peaking

One tough customer

With just four games remaining in his Husker football career (okay maybe five if Nebraska can somehow make it to a bowl game), it’s great to finally see what Richard Rhoden and I have been saying for the past four or five years. “Throw the ball to Austin! He’s wide open!

By the numbers

This will be Scott Frost’s fourth season in Lincoln, but he’ll try to even up his opening day record to 2-2 after losing at Ohio State a year ago by the score of 52-17. He’ll do so at Illinois on Aug. 28 with a fourth year starter at quarterback and numerous five-year super seniors on defense.
