Otto thrilled about opportunity with Hastings College
It’s hard to find someone who loves baseball more than Devin Otto.
He’s grown up around the diamond, playing catch and chasing pop flies. That’s not going to change any time soon.
The Aurora senior and American Legion Post 42 standout signed a letter of intent with Hastings College Feb. 7 to continue his academic and baseball career.
The moment wasn’t lost on him last week, surrounded by his family, friends and Post 42 coaches.
“I never thought I would be at this point, signing a paper to play college baseball,” Otto said. “I’ve always wanted to do that and have this opportunity. I love baseball. I worked my tail off to make this happen.”
Otto has had a baseball in his hands since he was 3 years old. It’s something he’s grown up around with his older brothers playing and always a sport he looked forward to."

Holliday signs with Hastings College baseball program
Camden Holliday always saw himself as a basketball player. Sure, with a near 6’7” frame, it’s hard to argue.
Yet, Holliday found a home on the baseball diamond throwing fastballs and knocking balls down at first base.
Holliday signed his letter of intent to continue his academic and baseball career at Hastings College Feb. 7 in front of his friends, family and Aurora Post 42 coaches.
For Holliday, getting to share the moment with so many who helped him get there was a lot of fun and something he won’t soon forget.
“This experience, being here with everyone, is pretty cool,” he said. “Obviously, I’ve had a lot of time with the Hastings coaches and we really bonded. To be able to have all my friends and family here is a cool experience.”
