Moving right along with the Aurora School District’s dedication to mental health for students, teachers and staff, the discussion was on the table during Monday’s meeting to break the district’s contract with ESU 9’s mental health services, and hire out their own.

Emotional challenges brought on by a year-long struggle with the COVID pandemic prompted Aurora Public Schools to add a mental wellness component to its Career Day schedule Feb. 17, which administrators say will likely become a permanent addition to the program.
