Aurora's offense was red-hot from the tip and wasn't to be denied.
The Huskies made eight 3-point shots in the first half as Aurora defeated Schuyler 53-38 Friday night in the Central Conference semifinals played on its home floor.
Jameson Herzberg was a big reason for the hot start, scoring two three's on Aurora's first three possessions as Aurora led 22-5 after the first.
It was also a solid defensive effort for Aurora, holding Schuyler to 8 first half points and led 37-8 at the break with a barrage of threes to round out the half.
Herzberg led Aurora with 19 points in the win.
Aurora moves on to the Central Conference Finals Saturday night, taking on Adams Central. The Patriots defeated Crete 52-25 earlier Friday night.
The Huskies played Adams Central in the season opener as Aurora won that game 50-44. The Patriots haven't lost a single game since that night while the Huskies sport a 10-7 mark.
