Aurora's boys basketball team took care of business over the weekend.

In a pair of rivalry games, the Huskies won a road contest at York 44-33 Friday night before running past Grand Island Northwest at home 52-30 Saturday night.

Early on against the Vikings, Cayden Phillips couldn't miss, scoring six of his 14 points in the opening quarter as Aurora led 18-7 before taking a 30-20 halftime lead.

Aurora also had plenty of help from Tate Nachtigal, who led the Huskies with 15 points in the victory as Aurora held GINW to just 10 second half points.

The Lady Huskies are still searching for its first win after falling at York 36-19 Friday night before losing to GINW at home, 50-31.

Aurora was down by 14 in the first half before a late Aurora rally cut the halftime deficit to 26-19.

The Lady Huskies were led by Cassidy Knust's 14 points while Kasey Schuster added seven off the bench.

Aurora's final game before the holiday break comes Tuesday night against Norris.
