Aurora falls to Adams Central, 53-38
Adams Central was good from long range all night long and the scoreboard was proof.
The Patriots repeated as Central Conference champs with a 53-38 win over Aurora Saturday night.
Adams Central made eight three-pointers on the night and never looked back. The game was a matchup between two teams that had won the previous five Central Conference tournaments, with Aurora winning the four previous to last season.
Aurora trailed 21-13 at the half before getting that down to 26-21.
From there, though, Adams Central used a 9-0 run to end the third and lead 39-24 on its way to victory.
Aurora was led in scoring by Tate Nachtigal's 14 points.
