Huskies rally past Northwest to keep trophy in annual rivalry game, 34-21

  • Aurora sophomore Sam Jones (14) made a pivotal play in the third quarter against Northwest, returning a kickoff to the Viking 22 after the Huskies had fallen behind 21-13. “Who would have thought he would be the kick returner that made such a big play,” coach Kyle Peterson said of Jones’ return. “I don’t think he’s probably ever returned a kick in his life, but what a spark for us.”
