Danhauer, Luhr win Poco Creek Member/Guest tourney

Zach Danhauer and Brian Luhr won championship honors in the annual Member/Guest Tournament held at Poco Creek Golf Course in Aurora. 
The winning team from the 36-team field advanced from 27 holes of pool play on Saturday, all while playing under near perfect weather conditions throughout the weekend. 
Danhauer and Luhr won the championship flight match, which was determined through a horse race format featuring the top five teams. The winning duo defeated Jeremy Cattau and Brayden Murrisen in the final pairing. The team of Brad Kell and Jared Melcher finished third, Cody Hoegh and Alex Israelson placed fourth while Phil Fendt and Lucas Wood ended in fifth.  
Also advancing to Sunday’s championship bracket match play finals were the teams of Dave Vettel and Trevor Vettel, Brock Kohtz and Aaron Armon, Alex Heiden and Bryan Herald, Wade Regier and Ryan Sherwood, Ross Luzum and Todd Bartek. 
In the consolation bracket, the team of Brock Wyatt and Chris Stewart took top honors with second place going to Justin Makovicka and Quinton Penner. Tom Darbro and Mitch Darbro finished third, Ben McQuiston and Michael Hadden placed fourth while Trevor Thorell and Nate Williamson claimed fifth. 
Also advancing to Sunday’s consolation bracket match play finals were the teams of Dan Kaminski and Jared Nielsen, Joel Schaffert and Tyler Smith, Wes Mason and Brandon Kliewer, Chase Newman and Steve Catlett, Dan Pfeifer and Tyler Griffith.
