Steven Breitenfeldt

Steven E. Breitenfeldt, age 76, of Giltner, passed away December 15, 2022 at the Grand Island Regional Medical Center.   
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Eliason officiating.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will take place at the Cedarview Cemetery in Doniphan. Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.  Memorials suggested to the family for later designation.  Condolences can be left at www.livson.com.
Steve was born on June 3, 1946 to Harold and Deloris (Shields) Breitenfeldt in Grand Island.  He grew up in Giltner and graduated from Giltner High School in 1964. In 1965 he enlisted in the United States Navy and served in Vietnam.  He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his bravery and was honorably discharged in June 1969.  He returned to the family farm where he spent many years raising livestock and farming.   
He enjoyed being an AA sponsor, horse racing, golfing and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.   
Together with JoAnne Macke, Steve had five children, Rick Breitenfeldt (Tony), Stephanie Neuhaus (Rob), Mandi Noel (Tony), Jamie Lindburg (Jason) and Adam Breitenfeldt (Jenny); bonus children, Kyle Spotts and Krystal Schrock; ten grandchildren, Madeline (Trevor), Luke, Ian, Olivia, Matthew, Kaelyn, Sydney, Isabella, Hailey, and Wyatt; sisters, Pat Wendt (Steve) and Bonnie Breitenfeldt (Chris); brother, Dan Breitenfeldt (Lori) and special friend, Liz Emerson.
Preceded in death by parents and sister Kaylene.
