Neal Mead

Neal Joseph Mead, son of the late Milan Joseph Mead and Marianne Morgan Mead, was born February 6, 1962 in St. Joseph, Michigan.  He departed this life October 19, 2025 at his home in Wiseman, Arkansas at the age of 63.  He was united in marriage to Malynda “Mindy” Wagner May 7, 1988 in St. Joseph, Michigan and together they raised three children.  Neal spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, uncle, father, grandfather, provider and friend.  Most of his working years were spent as a contractor. Neal was a strong and faithful spiritual leader whose life reflected his deep love for God and his family. Known for his unwavering work ethic and gentle spirit, he approached everything he did with purpose and care. He had a creative mind – always finding joy in creating and shaping things in his own way rather than simply building them.  
He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren beyond measure, and his greatest desire was to instill them the same faith, strength, and love for Christ that guided his own life. His legacy of faith, creativity, and devotion will continue to live through the family he cherished so deeply.  
He is survived by his wife of 37 years:  Mindy Mead of Wiseman,. Ark.; two sons:  Abram Mead, Uriah Mead and wife Joanna, all of Horseshoe Bend,. Ark.; one daughter:  Rachel Mead of Wiseman, Ark.; four brothers:  Mike Mead (Alison) of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., Steve Mead (Debra) of Aurora, Mark Mead (Casey) of St. Joseph, Michigan, Chuck Mead of Baroda, Michigan; one sister:  Michelle Caple (Steve) of St. Joseph, Michigan; six grandchildren:  Sadie Everett, Josiah Mead, Sarah Everett, Sophia Mead, Satori Clark, Kyce Clark and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  
He was preceded in death by his parents.  
Funeral services and viewing were held Friday, October 24 at 2 p.m. at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne, Ark..  Cremation followed the service.
