Hannah M. Miller, age 95, of Aurora, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Memorial Community Care.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 11 at the United Methodist Church in Aurora. Rev. Jay Vetter, Hannah’s nephew, will officiate. Interment will be at the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.   Memorials may be made to the family to designate at a later date.   Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora is in charge of arrangements. Hannah May Miller, the daughter of James Quinter and Sadie Lois (Eckerson) Lewis was born at home in Aurora, on March 2, 1929 and passed away at Aurora, on January 5, 2025 at the age of 95.  
Hannah grew up in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School in 1947.
Hannah married Ben Miller on January 30, 1948 at Lincoln.   They farmed south of Aurora for several years and in 1956 moved to their home on the south side of Aurora.   Hannah worked at Douglas Market, Red & White Grocery, owned and operated Keystone Gardens for over 50 years and Keystone Kountry Store Café.   She also helped her grandma at Prairie Gem Church.   Hannah was best known for her wedding cakes and birthday cakes. Ben passed away on March 23, 1984.   
Hannah was a member of the United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School at the EUB Church.   She received the Aksarben Good Neighbor Award.   Hannah liked to crochet, sew, iron clothes, attend stock car races, baking Snicker bar brownies and sewing diapers for the Tiny Hands org in Nepal.  
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Ronnie in 1948; son-in-law, Don Routh and siblings, Thelma Salmon, Harvey Lewis, Alice Vetter, Ralph Lewis, Fred Lewis, Wayne Lewis, Lois Lolmaugh, Keith Lewis, an infant brother and infant sister.
Those left to cherish her memory are her three children, Susan Routh of Grand Island, Lynn (Deb) Miller of Aurora and Julie (Ray) Hodges of Aurora; 6 grandchildren, Brenda (Rick) Budzinski, Barb (Jason) Carter, Stacey (Jacob) Parr, Sarah (Randy) Jensen, Chelsea (Brian) Kaufman and Roxanne (Brian) Hodges and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Campbell of Aurora; special friends Becky Graham and Angie Burson; special MCC neighbors, Geri and Rhonda and many other family members and friends.
