Deborah Jean Johnson, the daughter of Vearl and Ruth Aumiller was born in Los Angeles, California November 30 of 1958. She died in her home April 21, 2025, at the age of 66.
She was the second born of four children. She moved around a lot as a child due to her father’s work. The family then settled in Nebraska. She graduated from Harvard High School in I976. In the next few years, she met her future husband, Russ Johnson. Russ and Deborah were united in marriage on September 26, 1982. Together they had 4 children, two boys and two girls. In her lifetime she held miscellaneous jobs such as waitressing, retail, and a construction traffic flagger. Her favorite job was when she was being a homemaker. Some of the things that Deborah enjoyed doing were jigsaw puzzles, anything with plants, shopping (she knew how to find a good deal), playing cards with family and friends, and watching sunsets with her husband. She thoroughly enjoyed spending quality time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They all referred to her as Granny. Family gatherings were also something she always looked forward to.
On November 1st of 2012 Deborah had a stroke, that left her partially handicapped. She did not let that slow her down. She just had her husband push her everywhere!!!!
In June of 2017 she started attending the Philadelphia Church of God. She became a member in August of 2018. Within the PCG, she really found a love for God and His way of life. She attended many church events from the east coast to the west coast, the Gulf of Mexico (America) and everywhere in-between.
She was preceded in death by her parents Vearl and Ruth Aumiller, father and mother-in-law Sherman and Faith Johnson, brother-in-law Gary Mohling, brother and sister-in-law Danny and Sheri Dowse, and daughter-in-law Samatha Johnson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Russ, daughter Krinda and (Keith) Moore, son Sterling Johnson, son Timothy and (Amber) Johnson, and daughter Misti and (Fernando) Escobar, siblings: sister Leslie Mohling, brother James Aumiller, brother Ty and (Becky) Aumiller, brother-in-law Greg and (Ann) Johnson, sister-in-law Kelly and (Terry) Owens, and sister-in-law T.J. and (John) Gaughen.
