Deborah Abramson

Deborah Abramson, 69, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Memorial Hospital.
Deborah’s wishes for cremation.  Family Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024. There will not be a visitation.   Inurnment will be at the Aurora Cemetery. Memorials may be made in care of the family to be determined at a later date. Deborah Leigh Abramson, the daughter of Dr. Donald Sr. and Dorothy (Petersen) Nelson, was born on August 9, 1955 at Council Bluffs, Iowa and passed away on September 11, 2024 in Aurora, at the age of 69.   She grew up in Fremont and graduated from St. Paul High School in St. Paul, Minnesota.   She attended 2 years of college at Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, and two years of Nurses RN training at Saint Francis School of Nursing in Grand Island.   She worked for several area hospitals to include Saint Francis in Grand Island, Veterans Hospital in Grand Island, Soldiers and Sailors home in Grand Island, Mary Lanning in Hastings and her longest tenure was at Memorial Hospital in Aurora for over 18 years.
She also worked as a Nurse in West Monroe, Louisiana and Little Rock Arkansas.
She was joined in marriage to Jerry W. Abramson on September 2, 1995.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Denise L. (Nelson) Roemer, one niece Jamee Bresley and grand-niece Emma Rose Nelson.
She is survived by her husband Jerry W. Abramson of Aurora; brother, Donald L. (Christina) Nelson, Jr. of Farwell; nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.   She is also survived by brother-in-law Tim (Peggy) Abramson of Franksville, Wisconsin, Bob (Deb) Abramson of Kasson, Minnesota and sister-in-law, Ginger (Jim) Bresley of Berwyn.
