Charles Dudding
Charles Dudding, age 79, of Aurora, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024, CHI Health Nebraska Heart in Lincoln.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 17, at the chapel of Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Rev. Rudy Flores will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Condolences may be sent to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com. Memorials may be made to the family to designate at a later date.
Charles Dean Dudding, the son of Donald WIlson and Mary (Nauert) Dudding, was born in San Bernardino, California, on September 13, 1945, and passed away on October 11, 2024, at the age of 79.
Charles grew up in Bloomington, California where he attended school. Following his graduation, he served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he served from 1965 until 1967 as Grave Registration and Pallbearer. After being honorably discharged, he worked for Arrowhead Magazine in San Bernardino, California until retirement.
Charles was united in marriage to the sweetheart next door, Barbara Marie Wright on May 3, 1968 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they had 7 daughters Annette, Julie, Laura, Michelle, Ciprianna, Karen, and Jennifer. Charles and his family lived in several states, and he eventually settled in Aurora in 2020.
Charles enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His favorite way to relax was drinking coffee and watching M*A*S*H. He also enjoyed playing puzzle games such as Solitaire and Mahjong. He was constantly on the move tinkering on things or working on flowers for his wife.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Ronald Dudding, James Dudding, William Dudding, and BarbaraJean Hardy.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of Aurora, Barabara Dudding, 7 daughters Annette (Bernard) Fitzsimmons, Julie (Kevin) Boltz, Laura (Jim) Renfrow, Michelle Dudding, Ciprianna (Tyler) Engel, Karen (James) Wohlgemuth, Jennifer (Keith) James, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers: Richard Dudding, John Dudding, and extended family and friends.
