Delores L. Veburg of Hordville, passed away from a brief illness on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Grand Island Regional Hospital.  She was born on December 2, 1930 to Carl W. and Elvera (Sjogren) Anderson at the farm in Stromsburg.
Delores attended country school and graduated from Stromsburg High School in 1948.  She was employed as a bookkeeper at Osceola Implement until her marriage on October 3, 1953 to Richard W. Veburg at Salem Lutheran Church in Stromsburg.  She was a member of the Merry Mother’s Extension Club, Order of the Eastern Star, an active member of Fridhem Lutheran Church, involved in WELCA and a Sunday School Teacher.  Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, planting flowers and being around her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Delores is survived by her five children; Walden and Patricia (Ruhga) Veburg, Jolene and Lee Dittmer, Roland and JoAnn (Danklesen) Veburg, Lyndon and Lea (McCoy) Veburg and Devon Veburg, 10 grandchildren; Matthew Veburg, Alison (Veburg) and Joseph Leinen, Brendan and Natalie (Medune) Dittmer, Tamara (Dittmer) and Jayme Hans, Carlee (Dittmer) and Jason Connot, Brandy (Veburg) Sundberg, Derek Veburg, Ryan Veburg, Ryland and Ryleigh (Lenn) Veburg and Jenna Veburg, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Delores was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers; Dennis C. Anderson and infant Ruel Wesley Anderson.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 30, at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m. at Fridhem Lutheran Church in Hordville, with PMA Jan Anderson officiating.  Memorials can be designated to Fridhem Lutheran Church.  Interment will be held at Hordville Cemetery.
