Carol Lind
Carol Ann Lind, 75, died unexpectedly on Monday, November 18, 2024.
Carol was born on March 7, 1949 to Gilbert and Talitha Elizabeth (Nuss) Huber in York.
Carol graduated from York High School in 1967 and later graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Her entire teaching career was in the
Polk/Hordville area where she was a high school English and Drama teacher. She truly cared about her students and had fun helping them put on one act plays and dinner theaters.
In 1972, Carol married the love of her life and best friend, Michael Lind. She spent countless hours helping Mike with projects on their acreage and with raising the various animals they had over the years. She loved her dogs and cats that were family. She so enjoyed living in the country and she truly appreciated her neighbors in the area. Carol was an excellent cook. An avid reader, Carol often shared books with former students and friends and loved a lively book discussion. She was a loyal Husker volleyball fan.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Mike, her brother, Dennis Huber, her parents and grandparents.
Those left to treasure her memory include her sister-in-law, Jaimie Huber of Lincoln, and step-nephew, Clayton (Michelle) Stryker of Lincoln; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marsha and John Nelson of Hastings, niece and nephews Zachary Nelson of Omaha, Whitney (Drew) Petersen of Bennington and Miles Nelson of Hastings; great-niece and nephews, cousins, former students and many friends.
It was Carol’s wish to be cremated. To honor her wishes, there will be no services or visitation. Solt-Wagner Mortuary of Central City is serving the family.
Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
