Progress on downtown project

Body

Construction crews worked hard last week to install a new roof and north wall on the Cornwell building, located on the east side of the downtown square. The wall and roof had been damaged during demolition of the adjacent Gambles building in August. Rain during the week added moisture to the mix when the roofline was open to the elements, though it was completed before Monday’s heavier rain. “We wish to commend the crews who have been working diligently to restore our buildnig and support us in getting our business back on track,” said building owner Clint Mickey. “Their dedication, professionalism and hard work are deeply appreciated. We look with optimism to the future and to welcome everyone back once again.”
