Week one featured a lot of success for area teams, but not so much this time around.

The area was 0-4 through Week two of the high school football season with all four schools losing road contests.

Aurora was in one of the state's premier games, at Boone Central in a battle for the top spot in Class C1. The Cardinals led 14-7 at the half and shut out the Huskies in the third and fourth quarters to pick up a convincing 42-7 win over the Huskies thanks to a four-TD effort from Parker Borer.

High Plains was in action Thursday night and struggled against a ranked Central Valley team as the Cougars won handily, 52-6.

Both Hampton and Giltner lost road contests Friday, moving their win-loss records to 2-1 and 1-1, respectively.

Listed are all area teams and the scores of those games with the winning team in bold:

Aurora @ Boone Central, 42-7

High Plains @ Central Valley, 52-6

Hampton @ Parkview Christian, 37-0

Giltner @ Kenesaw, 42-22
