Margaret ‘Marge’ Louise Clark Allen, 70, passed away on May 1 after a long illness. There will be no local service. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family. Memorials can be directed to Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island.
Marge was born on May 8, 1950 in Staten Island, NYC to Eugene and Dorothy Clark. Marge was a warm, giving, and fun-loving soul and was generous and kind to all. She loved to cook and no-one was a stranger in her eyes. A gracious and attentive listener, she was a special person to many people. Possessing a positive can-do spirit, she was the embodiment of selflessness. Growing up on Staten Island as one of six children, Marge enjoyed many outdoor activities and adventures with her beloved siblings.  She was also a gifted vocalist and could sing many hit songs from the 1950’s and 60’s. 
Marge was married to Stan Allen of Aurora. In the early 70’s the family moved from Staten Island to Aurora. After the children graduated from school, Marge and Stan moved to Grand Island.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Stan Allen; daughter and spouse, Katrina and Jeff Glinsmann; her sons: Jim Allen and friend, Jenny Shoeman, Des Moines, IA; John and Tammy Allen, Phillips; Andrew Allen and friend, Francesca Overbeeke, NYC; Steve and Jennifer Allen, Lincoln; grandchildren: Hunter and Ian Glinsmann, Hampton; Miles and Rhodes Allen, Lincoln; Ashley Allen, Scottsdale, AZ; Eric Allen, Lincoln; Reid Allen and fiancé, Katelyn Morgan, Omaha; Ryan Allen and friend, Kaylee Wurth, Iowa City, IA, and great-granddaughter, Sophie Barrios, Scottsdale, AZ.
Marge was preceded in death by her son Wesley Wayne Allen, and granddaughter, Amelia Wesley Allen.
