Brent Allen Shenk, 59, of Clarks, passed away at his home.  Memorial services will be on Thursday, February, 18, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Hordville with Pastor Daniel Bear offciating.

Brent was born in Clarks, to L. Ford Shenk and LaRIta Sorenson.  Brent attended Columbine High School in Littleton, CO and graduated from Polk High School in 1980.
After High School, Brent harvested Cedar trees on the family farm.  He moved to Minnesota, where he worked at 1st Bank of St. Paul.  He returned to Nebraska and once again worked harvesting cedar trees and farming.
Brent was gifted at etching, drawing, loved the outdoors and visiting with friends.  He enjoyed riding his four-wheeler down in the trees with friends and having BBQ’s.
While living in Minnesota and attending worship services he sang in the choir, loving music, spiritual hymns, and contemporary compositions.
Those left to cherish his memory include his father; L. Ford Shenk of the Hordville/Polk area, his mother LaRita Sorenson of Almena, WI, his brother; Ford Kevin and wife Connie of The Colony, TX, his sister; Brenda Williams of Polk, and his niece; Haley Dawn Shenk and her son Landon.
Brent was preceded in death by a sister; Rita Dawn and an infant brother; Lawrence Keith, twin of Ford Kevin.
