Go Big GIVE raises $4,251 for HPS Foundation
The main outcome of a shorter than usual meeting of the Hampton Board of Education on May 13 was the approval of administrative contracts for the 2024-25 school year.
The meeting was kept short due to other obligations by some board members.
A two-year contract was approved for Supt. Holly Herzberg and will begin on July 1 and expire on June 30, 2026. Herzberg, who also serves as the district’s director of assessments, will receive a 2.51 percent increase under the contract bringing her annual salary to $154,000.
Meanwhile, Elementary Principal and Special Education Director Angie Arndt will get a 3.15 percent increase under the new contract and High School Principal and Activities Director Carson Klute will get an increase of 4.22 percent.
The board also moved to approve the summer contract for Hailey Oswald.
Herzberg also reported to the board that the Go Big GIVE fundraising campaign by the Heartland United Way on May 2 “was a huge success” for the Hampton Public Schools Foundation. She said $4,251.75 was raised for HPSF during the campaign.
