A handful of Giltner High School students have claimed statewide glory thanks to the Stock Market Game -- a program that, in Nebraska, puts students in grades 4-12 through a mock stock exchange period to see who comes out on top.
Said students, comprised of two teams, took the first and second place spots in the high-school division for the September-December competition block. 
Though it serves as an educational tool for students across the United States, this was the first time students in Jackie Hinrich’s econ class had ever played the game.
