Changes in store for A’ROR’N Days
Celebration back after pandemic pause
Details for this year’s A’ROR’N Days celebration continue to fall into place as the community prepares to renew its mid-summer gala after a one-year pandemic pause.
Committee members announced the theme last month and are sharing details now reflecting many changes, some due to lingering COVID concerns.
“It won’t be exactly like it’s been in the past, but we’re trying our darnedest to get as close to normal as we can,” said Roger Scott, A’ROR’N Days Committee chairman. “We’re coming along pretty good with the planning and we will have a lot new things, as well as some changes.”
One change will be noticed right out of the gate, as the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary luncheon which traditionally kicks off the festivities Thursday will not be held this year. In addition, the MCHI Fun Run planned for Saturday morning will follow a revised format.
“The fun run will be a little more of a do it on your own, so it will not be one big run,” Scott explained. “And we won’t have the Auxiliary luncheon because COVID is still giving us a little pause.”
