A trio of area youngsters got some early practice on their baking and entrepreneurial skills while doing good for someone else.

Addisyn Lanham, Bailey Lange and Sam Jones were perched outside Jones Denal Clinic Thursday afternoon selling baked goods and refreshing lemonade while raising money for a good cause.

Everything raised through the bake sale, the youngsters pointed out, was going to be donated in a couple ways, helping out with COVID-19 relief for places like Westfield and MCHI as well as raising money for the Aurora-Adopt-A-Pet.

“We baked everything ourselves and had everything ready to go in a couple days,” Lanham pointed out.

Everything on the list was more than reasonably priced, with lemonade going for a couple quarters while a homemade cookie had the going rate of one dollar.

Thursday produced a cooler, cloudy day which ended up being good for business with a steady stream of traffic coming through much of the day.

Both Lanham and Lange worked hard throughout the afternoon, waving down potential customers driving through the south side of the square and making good on the baked goods sales while Jones kept up the pace filling up glasses with ice ready for drink purchases.
