Moving on towards a bright, and hopefully relaxing future, Carol Schuster will be retiring in her position as a speech pathologist at Aurora Elementary School at the end of this school year.
“I got married when I was young,” Schuster began, walking through her journey into the speech pathology field. “Right after high school I went to nursing school, but met my husband.”
Schuster recalled that she found she didn’t like nursing school, so she left.
“Then I went back to college as a non-traditional student when I was probably (in my) late 20s,” she said. “And my kids were probably third grade, maybe first grade, so we did homework together at night, or I waited until after they were in bed and then did homework.”
