Now open again to public viewing, the Plainsman Museum welcomes guests to its Wesley Huenefeld Agricultural Museum.
Alongside other special exhibits, or rather atop other special exhibits, sits a number of scale buildings that most may recognize as local pieces of history.
These scaled-down replicas of Aurora favorites were constructed by late local Fay Perry.
Perry was born in Phillips in March of 1914 and passed in August of 1996 at the age of 82.
Aside from being known as the “pumpkin man,” Perry was also an active volunteer at the museum.
“(He) had built many scale models of the builds around the square in Aurora, including the courthouse, now displayed at the museum,” his obituary reads.
