Members of the Poco Creek Golf Course elected new board members during last week’s annual meeting, where they also reviewed course revenues, expenses and activities, including a progress report on construction of a new clubhouse.
Outgoing board president Adam Darbro noted several changes on the board, announcing that he and long-time member Phil Fendt are stepping down. Tammy Morris filled Fendt’s seat, with two new members also elected to the board including Justin Makovicka and Don Ramsey. Other board members include Steve Akerson, Zack Danhauer (who was re-elected for another term last week), Ross Luzum, Brad Kell, Curran Vetter and Taylor Willis, who will be stepping in as the new president for 2022.
Darbro reviewed 2021 totals, noting that revenues and net income were up significantly. He also reported on numerous on-course improvements, including a new cart bridge on hole No. 1 and an agreement with Sutton and Clay Center courses to jointly purchase an aerifier for shared use on the greens.
