As temperatures keep climbing many people are on the lookout for a refreshing way to beat the heat. This is where local kids can step in by providing the classic lemonade stand.
Setting up a table of their own last week were Eleanor and Nolan Geiken, with the help of their grandmother Laura Jobman.
Eleanor explained that they were selling lemonade and cookies to raise money for the food pantry. Jobman added that the goal of the stand was to help the kids learn how it feels to help other people.
“We’ll go buy canned fruits from the Aurora Mall,” Eleanor voiced.
Nolan added that this was his first time doing a lemonade stand with his sister and that they had a lot of customers despite the heat.
