Aurora FCCLA students were treated with a special guest speaker via Zoom Thursday, who hailed all the way from Texas, but was representing the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in California.
According to Aurora FCCLA sponsor Valerie Hinrichs, FIDM is nationally partnered with FCCLA to provide a handful of webinars for professional development.
“I signed up for the courses and they offered virtual classroom presentations,” she added. “I contacted them to see if it would be possible to have a speaker. They were very accommodating and excited to present to a class in Nebraska.”
