The Hamilton County Board of Commissioners meeting welcomed a full house Monday, with a number of visitors present to stand on behalf of the Hamilton County Freedom Rally, to turn in signed petitions and discuss election integrity.
After welcoming the guests, board chairman Rich Nelson offered a brief explanation and forward to the topic at hand, before inviting Gregg Kremer to speak.
“Before we get to that I need to explain to those in attendance that there has been a suit filed in Lancaster County, complaint number CI22 3020, which names our county clerk, our election commissioner, and all 92 other counties in the state of Nebraska, along with the governor, the secretary of state and E S&S as defendants,” Nelson said. “He is seeking $10 billion and, as we do have pending litigation, we as a board, nor Jill (DeMers) will be able to comment on your presentation or take any action. But we are all ears.”
Nelson noted that he and the board agree that voting integrity is “extremely important” and are concerned about the topic.
