The High Plains boys wrestling team put on a valiant effort in its home tournament now named after its longtime legendary coach.
The Storm had multiple semifinalists at the 53rd annual two-day Norm Manstedt Invite held at Central Community College in Columbus Friday and Saturday.
Out of its six-man roster, two of those were semifinalists while four of them were quarter finalists to start the day on Saturday.
The two semifinalists included the Urkoskis, Wyatt and Hudson. Wyatt, inching closer to his 100th career victory, won each of his five rounds Friday to move into the championship bracket.
