David Jensen

David Jensen, age 73, died on Sept. 1, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colo., after a year long battle with cancer. Per his wishes, he was cremated and there will be no services.

David Michael Jensen was born to Maynard and Lois (Salman) Jensen on Oct. 22, 1947 in Aurora. He was educated through the Aurora school system and graduated with the class of 1966. He studied at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

David was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was stationed in SanVito, Veneto, Italy as well as Okinawa, Japan. He was an active member of the American Legion Post in Colorado.

David married Elizabeth "Liz" (Cressey) on May 1, 1998. They made their home in Colorado Springs, Colo., where Liz currently resides.

Preceding him in death are his father, Maynard; daughter, Julie Thoendel; and sister-in-law Laura Jensen.

Survivors include his wife, Liz; mother, Lois Jensen of Aurora; children Jay (Kelly) Jensen and their daughter, Piper of Lincoln; his son Jordan (Kirsten) Jensen of Wichita, Kan., and daughter Jenna (Ben) Crabtree and their children, Kaiya and Hudson of Aurora; two brothers Andy (Bonnie) and Clint Jensen both of Aurora; one sister Gay (John) May of Manhattan, Kan.; son-in-law, Josh Thoendel of O'Neill; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.
