ANR celebrates National FFA Week, Feb. 15-22
The impact and influence of FFA are seen everywhere in our community, whether it's in our four area high schools with their highly active FFA chapters or in the organization's vital and lasting impact on the area's ag workforce and economy. FFA's emphasis on leadership development, communication and spreading the message of agriculture can be seen at all levels.
That's why ANR is dedicating this week's Ag Life section to a celebration of FFA weeks. In this week's paper, readers will find profiles of the FFA presidents at all four of our local high schools as well as FFA salutes from our advertisers, even those not directly involved in agriculture.
As co-publisher Kurt Johnson said in this week's lead editorial on Page C2: “FFA plays such a critical role in student development, fostering bright young minds to meet the global challenges of today, as well as tomorrow. Sharing the stories and perspective of local FFA leaders offers proof positive that our future is in good hands.”
