Nation based on biblical principles

Body

Dear Editor:
Proverbs 29:2  When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked man rules, the people groan.
We have been groaning the last four years.  Cost of living sky-rocketed, crime out of control, kids dropping like flies from fentanyl, cities overrun with illegal immigrants, criminals let loose in our country from other countries resulting in murders of innocent citizens of the US, mutilation of children due to the push for sex change from our current leaders, let alone the well over 300,000 children from border crossing who have gone missing.  Much to groan about!!
But God…
Psalm 126:1-3  When the Lord brought back the captive ones of Zion, we were like those who dream.  Then our mouth was filled with laughter and our tongue with joyful shouting; (I hope you all have heard how the crowd spontaneously broke into singing ‘How Great Thou Art’ to the Lord God Almighty) then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad.
Through the prayer and fasting of millions of people around the world and in the US, God has granted us His mercy.  I can guarantee you far more foreigners have been fasting and praying for the US than the citizens of this country!  Christians around the world are greatly affected by who our leaders are!  We have no idea what it means to suffer.   My heart cry on the day of election and prior, was for God to answer the cries of those in other countries.  We as a country, especially the church, do not deserve His grace and mercy.  But God, chose mercy over judgment, that being His character, granted His grace to us, once again. We must get back to what our country was founded upon.  We have been the greatest nation on earth because our Constitution was based on biblical principles.
2 Corinthians 3:17 …where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Let’s fully embrace the ways of the Lord!  Let’s experience His blessings once again in this nation that it may overflow into all nations around the world; the blessing of walking in righteousness, the freedom deep in our souls that comes from truly giving our hearts to Jesus.
