Ghosts, ghouls and other creatures of the night are headed for the Hamilton County Fairgrounds this week for the start of the annual Haunted Fairgrounds scare fest that begins Friday night. By the eerie light of the full Hunter’s Moon, the Hamilton County Ag Society will once again be presenting the nights of spooky chills and thrills Oct. 18-20 and 25-27 beginning at 7 p.m. each night. Closing time will be at 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 9 p.m. on Sundays.
Admission to the nights of fright will be $12 per person or $10 with a donation of food for the Hamilton County Food Pantry. There is also a VIP pass for $20 that allows participants to enjoy a shorter line for entrance.
For parents with children too young to participate in the scare event, a Kid Zone with games, crafts and other activities for the little ones is available at $5 per child.
A concession stand featuring hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, candy and other ghostly goodies, as well as hot chocolate and apple cider, will also be available.
Participants will begin their creepy adventure at the north end of the Ag Hall at the fairgrounds where there is plenty of parking for the family hearse.
