    Edgerton, Husky golf team up for youth golf academy

    Smiles and birdies were everywhere at Poco Creek last week, perhaps no one having more fun than Aurora golf coach Craig Badura, watching a group of youngsters learn a game they can play for a lifetime.

    ANR athletes of the year
    The Aurora News-Register handed out its male and female athletes of the year for the 2022-23 school year with plenty of competition for both awards. The male award was split between Aurora’s Carsen Staehr (far left) and Jack Allen. Staehr won two state track gold medals while Allen was the Class B heavyweight champ in wrestling. The female award went to an area school for the first time ever as High Plains’ Hailey Lindburg took home the honors, leading the Storm volleyball and basketball teams to school record win totals.     TaleGate gathers seniors’ stories 
    Local senior citizens were invited to share their life stories in a unique format Friday in Aurora, taking part in a nationwide “TaleGate” tour which founder Jack York described as a labor of love.
