    Kramer cherishing opportunity to be an American

    After years of imagining it, foreign exchange student Clemens Kramer, an exchange student from German, finally gets to experience the American dream for himself.

     

    Heroes & Huskies awed by Arlington National Cemetery

    The vast green meadows and rows of solemn white stones at Arlington National Cemetery made a big impression on the group of eight veterans and students who were part of the annual Heroes & Huskies honor flight to Washington, D.C. on May 5.

     

    HPC grads: ‘Always remember where you came from’

    Smiles, tears and photos were aplenty Saturday afternoon as High Plains Community Schools added its newest addition to the alumni group. Fifteen HPC 2023 seniors shared one final memory together inside the Polk high school gym, turning their tassels and walking out to the next chapter of their lives.

     

    ‘These kids are good people’

    Members of the Aurora Class of 2023 closed one chapter of their lives and took the first step toward another by turning the tassels as high school graduates Saturday afternoon. It was a time of reflection, smiles and accolades as 95 Husky seniors gathered together one final time amidst a gymnasium full of family and friends.
