Finding roots in truck, Jeep restoration
There are souls in the objects people are given from older generations. From the pocket watch polished to a shine from 1905, to the hand-me-down clothes that fit just a bit too well now. One person who knows that truth is Hampton native Tom Granfield. The current Hoskins resident found this out as he went on a journey to repair and update his father’s ‘78 Chevrolet pickup, a ‘78 Jeep Gladiator, an ‘83 Jeep Scrambler and a ‘48 Willys Jeep.
The tradition of fixing up vehicles has become deeply ingrained in the oil-blooded Granfield clan since the 1970s and a little before.
