Guiding light for Christmas season

Dear Editor:
Without a doubt, Christmas lights are the predominant feature of decorations for this season.  And aren’t they beautiful?!  
God Himself decorated the very first Christmas with two supernatural lights, the appearance of the angels to announce the birth of the Christ child, and the appearance of the star that led the wise men to Him.  Both lights led men to the source of True Light.
Jesus said of Himself,  “I am the Light of the world.  If you follow Me, you won’t be stumbling through the darkness, because you will have the Light that leads to life.”  (John 8:12)  “I am the Way, the Truth, & the Life.”  (John 14:6)  And the Psalmist, speaking of the Holy Scriptures, said, “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105)
This Christmas, let us follow the true source of Light and life, Jesus, who was born in a stable and laid in that manger so very long ago, and the holy scriptures, which light our path. These lights have remained constant, never changing, and always lead in the right direction.
