Vaccines for COVID should be mandatory

Dear Editor:
I. Do. Not. Understand. Why. People. Refuse. To. Get. COVID. Vaccinations.
Then when they get COVID, they expect medical staff to help them, when they wouldn’t listen to them and get vaccinated in the first place. The vast majority of ICU needs are for otherwise healthy people who are just too stubborn or too afraid of needles to get vaccinated against COVID.
I strongly support mandatory vaccinations, due to the fact that too many listen to voodoo theorist talk show hosts instead of proven science. Such as the man who railed against it on his program, then caught COVID and is now dead.
If they choose to stay home unvaccinated, that is their choice, and no loss. But it should absolutely be mandatory for everyone whose occupations place them in positions where their unvaccinated presence creates a hazard for others, especially anyone in the health care industry.
Worst of all are the parents who display their lack of love for their children by refusing to allow them to be vaccinated. Yet, the children are already vaccinated for MMR, polio, smallpox and many other diseases that would make them sick, but don’t usually kill them. COVID is a killer.
Some European countries have already banned unvaccinated people from being allowed to participate in ordinary public activities. And some are considering mandatory vaccinations for everyone.
Check out scientific facts! Believe in proven leaders such as Tom Osborne. Don’t believe the garbage against safe, proven vaccinations that is saturating social media sites.
