Morris sets new Pi Bee record
The fact that Shawn Morris set a new school record in the annual Pi Bee on the last day of school was just a secondary prize. The Aurora seventh grader smashed the record by memorizing 402 consecutive random numbers, but what brought a smile to his face was the bragging rights earned at the next family gathering. Young Morris had a bet with his older cousin and previous record holder, Alex Peters, that he could top his 2017 record of 366 digits, and if he did Peters would have to shave off his mustache.

From her family’s deep roots near Stockham to working at the Plainsman Museum soon after its 1976 opening at the current Highway 14 location, Lohrmeyer knows that history is a strong beginning to build on.
Leadership class graduates, shares vision for tap room
Hamilton County Leadership Tomorrow recognized its 29th graduating class last week, continuing a program which encourages young leaders to get involved and help make a difference in their community.
Coordinated by the Aurora Chamber of Commerce, the 2022-23 leadership class not only completed nine monthly programs designed to develop community awareness, but also came up with a project class members felt reflected a local need -- called “Homtown on Tap.”
