    Danielson signs with Hastings College basketball

    Basketball has always been a passion for Dylan Danielson. That passion has led him to the next step and the next level. Danielson signed a letter of intent March 27 to continue his academic and basketball career at Hastings College.

     

    Two veterans honored as part of National Vietnam War Veterans Day

    Two Vietnam veterans in Aurora city government attended a National Vietnam War Veterans Day presentation March 29 at a ceremony hosted in the Nebraska State Capitol. Mayor Marlin Seeman and city Ward 2 council member Dick Phillips joined other veterans in a hearing room to receive recognition.

     

    Vetter receives Golden Wheel Award

    Curran Vetter of Aurora was honored Saturday with the Rotary Golden Wheel Award for his contributions of time and leadership on several community projects.

     

    Hampton considers priorities

    Hampton residents shared their thoughts last week in a visioning workshop designed to gather input about the community’s needs and priorities. Two 90-minute sessions drew approximately 40 people to the Hampton Auditorium, where Bobbi Pettit with Five Rule Rural Planning began by encouraging participants to “get out of their heads and into their hearts,” thinking about  happy memories in their hometown and what it is that makes Hampton special in their eyes. After participants shared a happy memory or experience from their time in Hampton, Pettit then asked each to write down five priorities for the community, going forward.
